Born in 1944 in Casablanca (Morocco), Alain Souchon is a major figure of French music since the 1970’s, even though he may not be the most famous. His career has to be put in parallel with the career of his musical partner Laurent Voulzy : generally for the songs of both of these artists, Souchon writes the lyrics while Voulzy writes the music.
