
Henri Salvador (1917-2008) was born in Guyana and his parents were from Guadeloupe, a French island in the Caribbean. Singer, composer and guitarist, he began to have a little notoriety in Paris in the 1930’s, but he really began to be famous in the 1950’s, his career having lasted more than 60 years.
The main quality he’s recognized for is his humour : even in his yougest age, his infectious laugh and his comic talent were appreciated. He sung a lot of funny songs.
