The late 2010’s were definitely a sad time for French music (every decade is, in a way, but especially this one), as we lost some of the biggest artists who were still alive. Johnny Halliday, Michel Delpech, France Gall, Charles Aznavour… and Jacques Higelin (1940-2018) is among them. Famous especially in the 1970’s and 1980’s, he distinguished himself by his rock inspiration and his funny and surrealistic lyrics. Two of his children are singers as well (Arthur H and Izïa, both pretty cool).
