Created in 1961, Les Chats Sauvages (= The Wild Cats) is a French rock band, led in the beginning (during their most successful era) by Dick Rivers. Their catalogue has some original songs, but it’s most of the time adaptations of rock standards, like “Est-ce que tu le sais” (= Do you know it ?), the French adaptation of What I’d Say. They were the main rivals of the other famous French rock band, Les Chaussettes Noires (= The Black Socks), led by Eddy Mitchell.
