Born in 1945, Sheila (born Annie Chancel) began her career in the early 60’s. She became one of the most famous idols of this era. Her image was quite fabricated by the studios to appeal to a young audience. Her songs often deal with the life of teenagers at that time, in a moment when her generation was really having tastes and codes on her own, wanting to be different from the previous one.
