As non-French people, you may mainly know Vanessa Paradis (born in 1972) as Johnny Depp’s former wife (and the mother of Lily-Rose Depp), but she’s much more than this ! Her career began at 14 years old with the huge success (even outside of France) of the song Joe le Taxi. From this moment she became a star, and her second album was even entirely written by the iconic Serge Gainsbourg (in what would be his last work, as he died a few months later). Then she made a record in English, written by Lenny Kravitz who was her companion at the time. After a pause of a few years, she began doing music again and made several albums whose songs were written by various famous people. She also acted in several movies and was a model as well.
