This song came out in 1985, during the period when Kim Wilde was very popular, including in France. But apart from her musical talent, she was also a real fantasm for many men, including Laurent Voulzy himself, who recorded many of her appearances on tape. When his musical partner Alain Souchon discovered it, he suggested him to record a song about this admiration, called “nights without Kim Wilde”. Kim Wilde herself was then contacted and requested to participate to the song, which she ended up accepting. It is therefore the real Kim Wilde who is talking and appearing in the clip ! Personally I love this song and clip, it is so deliciously 80’s.
